    British skydiver Adrian Nicholas was the special guest at BBC Online's "Extreme Lives" Chat September 25, 2000. Adrian built and flew a model of Da Vinci's parachute in South Africa this summer and is renown for his spectacular Wing Suit flights. A transcript can be found at

    With 55% of the vote, Arizona Skydiving in Coolidge was the clear winner in the "Dropzone of the Year" election at JUMPRUN.COM. Skydive Daytona took second with over 25% of the vote and third went to West Tennessee Skydiving with 10% of the vote. See an article at


    Four members from four different participating teams at the 2000 US Nationals were grounded after their Cypreses fired because they took it too low on a 30-way fun jump. S&TA Rich Hyatt stated: "I videoed a side-by-side, two bi-planes and one cutaway main, so I grounded them. They may have been competitors but they're spectators now."


    Skydive Tulsa has moved once again. They are now located at the Sam Rigg's Airpark. Sam Rigg's is just off Highway 66, between Catoosa and Claremore. The Jumper Sportswear Caravan will be at Skydive Tulsa November 18 -19 for their first ever turbine boogie.


    High Desert Skydiving in 29 Palms in California opened November 4. They will fly a Cessna 206 and will be open the first and third weekend of the month. Dropzone owner Bob Celaya also owns California City Skydiving Center. For more information call (800) 258-6744.


    The Norwegian woman's 4-way team "Non Terminal" won the Norwegian Skydiving League. The team also won the bronze medal at the Norwegian Nationals, averaging 11.4 points in 10 rounds.


    Swedish Freestyle team "Anima Doggiestyle" won the first Nordic Championships of freestyle held at Gryttjom in August.


    Skydive Cross Keys in New Jersey has acquired a Steerman Biplane that will be at the dropzone starting on November 18.
