    On October 28 is the Ranch Halloween Party at the Swiss Country Inn in Gardiner. "Sci-Fi" is this years theme. They will also be doing big way formation loads and if they have 60 people, they will try to complete the "Speed 60-way Competition" that was weathered out in September.     Dale H. Groven from the Boeing Club created "The Skydiving Club" and a new web site at www.theskydivingclub.com. The Boeing Club has also started 2 Funds. One for Gary Dutton, to help with his medical costs.     Skydive University is running an "introduction to 4-way" camp November 23-27 at Sebastian, FL. The course is a series of 20 jumps in a three-on-one format, with a coach jumping with three skydivers and video on every jump. Cost is $49 per jump. Telephone (561) 581-0100.

    Pilatus has suspended the production of the Turbo Porter and isn't accepting orders for the single-engine aircraft. The factory says it's having trouble meeting surging demand for the larger PC-12 aircraft, and doesn't know when it will resume production of the Porter. Restarting production will take at least two years. The company has built 441 Porters of various types during a production run that goes back to 1959, 10 were built in the U.S.

    A "Black & Gold Military Sport Parachute Competition" is scheduled for November 17-19 at Raeford, NC. The competition (4-way RW, 8-way speed formation and accuracy) is open to all military jumpers. For more information, contact Scott Rhodes at (910) 396-2036 or 396-1539.
