Memorial Day Boogie New England
March 26-28, 2001

A Memorial Day Boogie will be held at Skydive New England in Lebanon, Maine. There will be no registration fee. They will be hosting 20-way dives from their Super Otter all weekend. Fred Coutreau and DB-Swoopers Restaurant will feature a Bad-A$$ pig-roast after the sunset load on Saturday night, and Boston's best local Band "Machinery Hall" will throw a free concert featuring their brand new CD. Memorial Day Boogie with "Super" KingAir"
May 26-28, 2001

West Tennessee Skydiving, home of the Mike Mullins Super KingAir and the Dave Paschall Super-charged 450 HP P&W Cessna 195 (N2103C), will be hosting its annual Memorial Day Boogie.
 
There will be no boogie fees and jump prices for the Mullins KingAir will be $10 to 14,000 feet-plus. Jump prices for the C-195 are $16 to 12,000 feet every weekend. They would like to do some formation loads with the 195 and the KingAir. For those who are interested, please contact Chris Welker at koolkat@midsouth.rr.com.



Toad Suckers CRW Boogie Weekend
May 19-20, 2001

It's a beautiful spring at Gold Coast Skydivers as they host the Toad Suckers CRW Boogie Weekend, May 19-20. Watch the CRW dogs put some records together and help replace their landing divots! Jumps will be $15 to 14,000 feet from their Beech 99 and a Twin Otter. There will be no registration fee. Skydive Monroe's Casa Boogie
May 18-20, 2001

A Casa Boogie will take place at Skydive Monroe in Georgia. A Casa and King Air will be flying, and Roger Ponce will be organizing big ways. The Icarus Crossfire canopy will be available for demo jumps. Sun Path will have demo canopies, gear inspection and packing seminars. Wing suits will also be available for demos. Jumps are $17 and there is a registration fee of $15. For more information email Bill Scott.


KDFC Boogie
May 24-28, 2001

This year's KDFC Boogie will take place on Memorial Day weekend, May 26-28, at the Lodi Parachute Center in Lodi, California. Two Super Otters and a Beech 99 will be flying. Also during the weekend, there will be a memorial ash dive for Jan Davis who died in a skydive accident March 31.
 
Of course, the usual big party with beer truck, bonfire, and catered dinners will take place on Saturday and Sunday night. Registration fee is $10 and jump prices are $15. For more information call Bill or Kathy Dause at 209-369-1128 or check out their website at www.parachutecenter.com.


POPS Meet in Pennsylvania
May 24-28, 2001

There will be a POPS meet at Chambersburg Skydiving Center in Pennsylvania on Memorial Day weekend, May 24-28. There will be an accuracy competition "Hit and Rock" and a 4-way scramble. Call the dropzone at 717-264-1111 for more information or visit their website.


"Freaks Flock Together" Boogie
April 27-29

Skydive Dallas is host of the Second Annual "Freaks Flock Together" Boogie in Whitewright, Texas. Focusing on 3-D formations and relative tracking dives, the event will include organized freefly and large RW formations. Three hot-air balloons will be on hand to jump from! There will also be a tracking contest, a swoop contest and the hit-n-chug for a few of the prizes, but most prizes will be given away in the drawing so everyone has a chance to win.
 
Bill Hallett of Mirage will be on hand with rigs, there will be Icarus canopy demos, and about thirty Birdman suit demo's with coaching and organizing from Skydive Dallas' own Sean Rolls. If there is anything you want to try, it's the place to be! There will be some nice gift certificates given away from each of the above as well as giveaways from Freedom Means Choice and Da'Kine Rags jumpsuits, Javelin and Vector containers, Sky Systems helmets, and Pro-Track/Pro-Dytter audibles.
