by Jason "Ditch" Hitchcock - jhitchco@concentric.net

Everyone is effected by cancer whether you are diagnosed with it, or it is a friend or family member. Now you can volunteer your PC to help process molecular research being conducted by the Department of Chemistry at the University of Oxford to help cure cancer and participate in other research and development projects. You can actually watch as your machine's unused processing power works on the projects.

Check out: http://members.ud.com/services/teams/team.htm or go to www.direct-bag.com. and click on the SAC link at the bottom.

The URLs above will take you to the SAC (Skydivers Against Cancer) page. All you have to do to help is to download the client, install it, and join the team. The client will then run in the background using extra CPU cycles, and should not effect machine performance.

Thanks for taking the time to read this, and let me know if you have any questions. Together we can make a difference.

    Record-breaking pilot returns home

"I'm off": A wave before leaving Birmingham The first woman pilot to fly the smallest aircraft, single-handedly round the world via Australia and the Pacific has arrived back in Britain. Polly Vacher touched down at Birmingham International Airport just after following a four-month journey around the globe. Polly, a retired skydiver, flew a single-engine Piper Dakota 22,000 miles, visiting 21 countries on the way. En route to Australia she crossed Europe, the Middle East, India and Indonesia. She flew back across Fiji, the United States and Iceland. The flight raised thousands of pounds in sponsorship to go towards the cost of a disabled person learning to fly.
