The next scenario is a free balloon, moving with the
wind (this is a popular "special" jump at boogies, etc.). The
balloon has non-zero groundspeed. Yet when we look at the smoke trails
we see that the smoke has blown along with the balloon, and the second
jumper exits into the smoke trail of the first jumper. In other words -
the jumpers are in the same column of air. Note also that the
light trails show distinct and separate paths as viewed from the
ground. |
